Meet
Danielle Orton

Danielle Orton has been teaching preschool in Cedar City, Utah for over 25 years, earning the trust of families across the community through decades of consistent, loving care. She attended Southern Utah University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development—formal training that laid the foundation for her thoughtful, developmentally appropriate approach to early learning. Many of the children she teaches today are the sons and daughters of her former students, a reflection of the long-lasting relationships she has built with local families. As a trusted mom, educator, and longtime member of the Cedar City community, Danielle is known for creating a preschool environment where children feel safe, supported, and genuinely excited to learn.

Danielle’s approach is home-based and thoughtfully focused on kindergarten readiness, blending early academics, social development, and structured routines with warmth and encouragement. She truly enjoys working with young children and brings that joy into every day in the classroom. Danielle married her husband, Dustin Orton, in 1997, and together they have raised their four daughters in Cedar City—deepening her roots and connection to the community she serves. Recently becoming a grandmother herself, Danielle understands just how important these early years are, and she treats every child with the same care and attention she gives her own grandchildren. Parents can feel confident knowing their child is learning in a nurturing, experienced, and trusted environment that feels like an extension of home.
